The Most Wonderful Time of the Year......
Internet, probably just like most of you, Christmas is my most favorite time of the year! December 1st is the official Christmas kick-off in our house.
One thing I adore doing during December are Advent Calendars and counting down the days. For the past few years we have done the traditional chocolate advent calendars and my quilted wall hanging.
This year I decided to introduce one more thing and that is counting down to Christmas with Christmas books.
I have seen this idea swirling around on a bunch of blogs for the past few years and have always wanted to try it. So for the past month I have been collecting Christmas books.....scrounging up the ones we have, borrowing some and buying a few too. I'm short only two books but in a few days I will have wrapped and labeled 24 Christmas books! One for them to open and read every night.
I can't wait to see Thomas Trouble and Mr. Mean's faces when they come in today!

I love Christmas too. I failed getting an advent calendar done, but hey going out and cutting down a tree by myself was an accomplishment in itself. I've been taking Christmas books out from the library.
I really want to do the book wrapping idea. I have seen it on a couple other blogs. I think the girls would really like it.
I also need to get an Advent calendar that we can use yearly. :)
